Sukabrahma Rishi subsequently recited the entire Bhagavatam to Maharaja Parikshit in an assembly of learned saints on the bank of the Ganges at Hastinapura (now Delhi). Maharaja Parikshit was the emperor of the world and was a great rajarsi (saintly king).
